My abseil in Buxton

              Bridge 75, Millers Dale
My abseil was amazing and everyone had a great time. The ride there took about an hour and 45 minutes which is a long time for a bunch of exited teenagers. At first sight of the bridge we were all nervous because it was over water. Once you got strapped in and were hanging there you realise how nice the scenery was and it was a lot less scary. Thank you to all those people who sponsored me and have supported me. In this abseil I have raised £131 so far.

Busy Busy Busy......

As it gets closer to my expedition date July 23, 2012, I realize that I have a lot more money to raise! I have been busy bag packing with my group and raised £54.45 in one afternoon :D Over the past few months we have had many cake sales at school to raise money for a group activity. I wil let you know when our group decides what we are going to spend that money on. I also participated in a sponsered abseil in Buxton..... More on that in my next post! I have a few more fundraising ideas and will keep you posted on those as I make the final plans. Thanks so much for all your support and interest in my expedition.

My World Challenge Bike Ride July 2011

First I would like to give a big thanks to everyone who sponsored me on my 30 mile bike ride at Rother Valley Country Park. Also I would like to thank everyone who came with me to Rother valley.  I started at 9am and rode until about 2pm, we started by doing about nine miles and had a break about every nine miles. It started to get a bit repetitive so me, Dave, and Gwynn took a different route that is on the side of Rother Valley. Dave had a GPS so he was keeping track of the miles, surprisingly it was about nine miles. Here are a few pictures of the bike ride :

In all I raised about £400 from friends and family. I had a great day and hope that the rest of things I do to raise money are just as fun.

Hello world!

As I am sure you are all aware, Truman is heading to Norway in July 2012 for a 12 day expedition. We thought we could use this blog to keep you updated on his progress and share some information about his expedition. He will be very busy over the next year fundraising and learning about Norway so we thought you might enjoy coming along for the journey. Thanks for your love and support, we look forward to a fun year with all of you!
